The lamp of love kept glowing in my heart,
Your name upon my lips played its part.
The nights of separation slowly passed,
Yet memories of you kept burning fast.
Beneath the scorching sun of grief and pain,
My eyes shed tears like endless rain.
Your face in every thought would appear,
A cherished vision I held so dear.
When the hour of union drew near,
My trembling heart was overcome with fear.
Even after finding you by my side,
I feared losing you, the love of my life.
Sometimes a pain, sometimes a dream,
Your love flowed through me like a stream.
I tried so hard to forget<\/strong><\/a> you somehow,
Yet your image lives within me now.
The world wished to tear our love apart,
But our love stayed strong within the heart.
Your face appeared in every tear,
Every wound whispered that you were near.
