Best Poetry: The Unwritten Language of My Heart

I Am the Author of My Own Destiny

I’ll write a universe bearing my name,
A brand-new beginning, a life without shame.
The fragrance I never received as my own,
I’ll grow my own flowers and make them my home.
If every decision is set against me,
My silence will speak of the truth I can see.
I ask not the heavens for stars from above,
I’ll build my own life with courage and love.
Those who believe fate can never be changed,
I’ll show them a life that cannot be caged.
From my own ashes, I’ll rise once again,
And turn all my struggles to showers of rain.
My pen taught me proudly to stand on my own,
I’ll turn every wound into strength I have grown.
Zuhra, on the pages that time leaves behind,
I’ll write: I’m the question, the answer I’ll find.

Binty Ahmad

The Courage to Write My Own Destiny

Zuhra’s poetry beautifully expresses the power of self-belief, courage, and the desire to create one’s own identity. It presents the voice of a girl who refuses to surrender to life’s difficulties and chooses to transform her dreams into reality. Instead of depending on others’ decisions, she wants to determine her own destination. For her, silence is not weakness but a powerful form of protest. Her pen becomes her strength, while poetry gives words to her deepest emotions. This creation by Bint-e-Ahmad reminds readers that even when life becomes challenging, hope, determination, and hard work can open new doors. Writing one’s own destiny begins with believing in oneself and having the courage to take the first step toward a brighter future.
