The Feeling That Never Found Words

Some feelings stayed in my heart, never spoken,
Some dreams remained unfinished, some promises broken.

That person was closer to my heart than anyone knew,
Yet I never found the words to tell what I felt was true.

I wished they could understand my silence,
And read the story hidden behind my eyes.

So many words stopped upon my lips,
So many feelings remained buried deep inside.

They stood before me, yet distance remained,
They never knew how deeply my heart felt pain.

I asked for them in every prayer I made,
But their closeness was never written in my fate.

Some feelings are still alive within my heart,
With no shape, no voice, no words to impart.

That love still lives somewhere inside of me,
But the words to express it are no longer free.

वह एहसास जो शब्दों में ढल न सका

कुछ बातें दिल में रहकर भी कही न गईं,
कुछ ख्वाहिशें आँखों में रहकर भी पूरी न हुईं।

वह शख़्स मेरे दिल के बहुत करीब था,
मगर उससे दिल की बातें कभी कही न गईं।

मैं चाहती थी वो मेरी खामोशी समझ ले,
मगर मेरी आँखों से भी कहानी पढ़ी न गई।

कई बार लबों तक आकर ठहर गए शब्द,
कई बार दिल की आवाज़ भी सुनी न गई।

वह सामने था, फिर भी फासलों में रहा,
मेरी मोहब्बत की उसे खबर ही न हुई।

मैंने हर दुआ में उसी को माँगा,
मगर मेरी किस्मत में उसकी नज़दीकी लिखी न गई।

अब भी कुछ एहसास दिल में ज़िंदा हैं,
जिनकी कोई सूरत, कोई ज़ुबान नहीं।

वो मोहब्बत आज भी मेरे अंदर कहीं है,
बस उसे बयान करने के लिए अब शब्द नहीं।

وہ احساس جو لفظوں میں نہ ڈھل سکا

کچھ باتیں دل میں رہ کر بھی کہی نہ گئیں،
کچھ خواہشیں آنکھوں میں رہ کر بھی پوری نہ ہوئیں۔

وہ شخص میرے دل کے بہت قریب تھا،
مگر اس سے دل کی باتیں کبھی کہی نہ گئیں۔

میں چاہتی تھی وہ میری خاموشی سمجھ لے،
مگر میری آنکھوں سے بھی کہانی پڑھی نہ گئی۔

کئی بار لبوں تک آ کر ٹھہر گئے لفظ،
کئی بار دل کی آواز بھی سنی نہ گئی۔

وہ سامنے تھا، پھر بھی فاصلوں میں رہا،
میری محبت کی اسے خبر ہی نہ ہوئی۔

میں نے ہر دعا میں اسی کو مانگا،
مگر میری قسمت میں اس کی قربت لکھی نہ گئی۔

اب بھی کچھ احساس دل میں زندہ ہیں،
جن کی کوئی صورت، کوئی زبان نہیں۔

وہ محبت آج بھی میرے اندر کہیں ہے،
بس اسے بیان کرنے کے لیے اب لفظ نہیں
