We hid so much pain behind our smiles,
And lost our own along life’s endless miles.
Those we once believed were our greatest gain,
Are now the ones who leave behind the deepest pain.
Sometimes, in solitude, we fear our own heart,
And hide our tears when crowds keep us apart.
Never mistake our silence for weakness inside,
Some wounds are too deep to reveal or confide.
We searched for happiness in every face,
Yet our own sorrows found no resting place.
Someone asked, “Why have you grown so quiet?”
We smiled, for some stories only tears can narrate.
No more complaints, no blame to share,
Some bonds are beyond the reach of prayer.
Zuhra, life is a story strange and true,
Some live within our hearts, but never share our destiny too.

کچھ درد لفظوں میں نہیں ڈھلتے
ہم نے ہنس کر بھی کئی درد چھپائے ہیں،
کچھ اپنے تھے جو دل سے بھلائے نہیں جاتے۔
جنہیں سمجھا تھا ہم نے زندگی کا حاصل،
وہی لوگ آج دل سے بھلائے نہیں جاتے۔
کبھی تنہائی میں خود سے بھی ڈر لگتا ہے،
کبھی محفل میں بھی آنسو چھپائے نہیں جاتے۔
ہماری خامشی کو کمزوری نہ سمجھنا،
کچھ زخم ایسے ہیں جو دکھائے نہیں جاتے۔
ہم نے ہر ایک کے چہرے پہ خوشی ڈھونڈی،
اپنے ہی غم مگر خود سے بھلائے نہیں جاتے۔
کسی نے پوچھا کہ اتنے خاموش کیوں ہو؟
ہم مسکرا دیے، سب قصے سنائے نہیں جاتے۔
اب کسی سے کوئی شکوہ، نہ کوئی شکایت،
کچھ رشتے ہیں جو قسمت سے بنائے نہیں جاتے۔
زہراؔ، یہ زندگی بھی عجیب کہانی ہے،
کچھ لوگ دل میں رہتے ہیں، مگر نصیب میں نہیں آتے۔

कुछ दर्द शब्दों में नहीं ढलते
हमने हँसकर भी कई दर्द छुपाए हैं,
कुछ अपने थे, जो दिल से भुलाए नहीं जाते।
जिन्हें समझा था हमने ज़िंदगी का हासिल,
वही लोग आज दिल से भुलाए नहीं जाते।
कभी तन्हाई में खुद से भी डर लगता है,
कभी महफ़िल में भी आँसू छुपाए नहीं जाते।
हमारी ख़ामोशी को कमज़ोरी न समझना,
कुछ ज़ख़्म ऐसे हैं जो दिखाए नहीं जाते।
हमने हर एक के चेहरे पर ख़ुशी ढूँढ़ी,
अपने ही ग़म मगर खुद से भुलाए नहीं जाते।
किसी ने पूछा कि इतने ख़ामोश क्यों हो?
हम मुस्कुरा दिए, सब क़िस्से सुनाए नहीं जाते।
अब किसी से कोई शिकवा, न कोई शिकायत,
कुछ रिश्ते हैं जो क़िस्मत से बनाए नहीं जाते।
ज़ुहरा, ये ज़िंदगी भी अजीब कहानी है,
कुछ लोग दिल में रहते हैं, मगर नसीब में नहीं आते।
