ہم نے خاموشی میں بھی کتنے فسانے لکھے،
اشک آنکھوں میں چھپا کر مسکرانے لکھے۔
دل کی دہلیز پہ اک نام سجا رکھا ہے،
جس کو کھو کر بھی دعاؤں میں بسا رکھا ہے۔
کچھ محبت کے تقاضے بھی عجیب ہوتے ہیں،
دور رہ کر بھی کئی لوگ قریب ہوتے ہیں۔
ہم نے چاہا تھا جسے ٹوٹ کے دنیا کی طرح،
وہ ہمیں چھوڑ گیا خواب کے سائے کی طرح۔
کبھی فرصت ہو تو پڑھ لینا نگاہوں کی زباں،
ہم نے ہر درد کو لفظوں میں کہا ہے کہاں؟
میرے ہونٹوں پہ سکوت اور دل میں شور بہت،
تجھ سے کہنے کو ہیں باتیں، مگر دور بہت۔
اب نہ شکوہ ہے تجھ سے، نہ کوئی سوال ہے،
تیری خوشیوں کی دعا آج بھی بے مثال ہے۔
شاید اس عشق کی منزل ہی جدائی ٹھہری،
شاید قسمت میں ہماری یہی تنہائی ٹھہری۔

The Untold Whispers of a Silent Heart
We wrote a thousand stories in the silence of our hearts,
Hid our tears behind a smile, while falling worlds apart.
Upon the doorstep of my heart, your name still shines so bright,
Though I have lost you from my world, I keep you in my prayers each night.
The ways of love are strange indeed, as every heart can tell,
Some souls remain so close to us, though they live far away as well.
I loved you more than words could say, with a heart so pure and true,
But you left me like a fading dream beneath a sky of blue.
If ever you find time to look into my eyes someday,
You’ll read the countless words my lips could never dare to say.
My lips remain so silent, while my heart cries out in pain,
So many things I wish to tell, but distance stands between us again.
I hold no grudge against you now, no questions left to ask,
I still pray for your happiness, hiding my sorrow behind a mask.
Perhaps our love was destined to end in tears and pain,
Perhaps this lonely heart of mine was meant to love in vain.

एक ख़ामोश दिल की अनकही सरगोशियाँ
हमने ख़ामोशी में भी कितने अफ़साने लिखे,
आँखों में आँसू छुपाकर मुस्कुराने लिखे।
दिल की दहलीज़ पर एक नाम सजा रखा है,
जिसे खोकर भी दुआओं में बसा रखा है।
मोहब्बत के तकाज़े भी अजीब होते हैं,
दूर रहकर भी कुछ लोग क़रीब होते हैं।
हमने चाहा था जिसे टूटकर दुनिया की तरह,
वो हमें छोड़ गया ख़्वाब के साये की तरह।
कभी फ़ुर्सत मिले तो आँखों की ज़ुबाँ पढ़ लेना,
हमने हर दर्द को लफ़्ज़ों में कहा है कहाँ?
मेरे होंठों पर ख़ामोशी, दिल में शोर बहुत,
तुझसे कहनी हैं बातें, मगर फ़ासले हैं बहुत।
अब न तुझसे कोई शिकवा, न कोई सवाल है,
तेरी ख़ुशियों की दुआ आज भी बेमिसाल है।
शायद इस इश्क़ की मंज़िल ही जुदाई ठहरी,
शायद क़िस्मत में हमारे यही तन्हाई ठहरी।
