میں اپنی کہانی خود لکھوں گی
میں وقت کی آنکھوں میں آنکھیں ڈالوں گی،
میں اپنے خوابوں کو نئی پہچان دوں گی
جو راستے میرے لیے بند کیے گئے،
میں انہی راستوں کو اپنی منزل بناؤں گی۔
مجھے شوق نہیں کسی کی مثال بننے کا،
میں اپنی ذات کی الگ پہچان بناؤں گی۔
جو لفظ کبھی ہونٹوں پہ آ نہ سکے،
میں اُن لفظوں سے اک کتاب سجاؤں گی۔
میں صرف پھولوں کی خوشبو نہیں لکھوں گی،
میں پتھروں میں بھی گلاب اُگاؤں گی۔
میری خاموشی کو کمزوری نہ سمجھنا،
میں وقت آنے پر اپنا جواب بن جاؤں گی۔
اب کسی اور کے خوابوں میں نہیں جینا،
میں اپنی آنکھوں سے اپنی دنیا بناؤں گی۔

I Will Write My Own Story
I will look time straight in the eyes,
And give my dreams a name of their own.
The paths that were closed before me,
Will become the roads that lead me home.
I do not wish to be somebody’s example,
I will create an identity of my own.
The words that once remained unspoken,
Will fill the pages of a book I’ve grown.
I will not write only of flowers and fragrance,
I’ll make roses bloom where only stones were sown.
Never mistake my silence for Weakness
One day, my truth will make its voice known
I will no longer live inside others’ dreams,

मैं अपनी कहानी खुद लिखूँगी
मैं वक़्त की आँखों में आँखें डालूँगी,
अपने सपनों को नई पहचान दूँगी।
जो रास्ते मेरे लिए बंद किए गए,
मैं उन्हीं रास्तों को अपनी मंज़िल बनाऊँगी।
मुझे शौक़ नहीं किसी की मिसाल बनने का,
मैं अपनी एक अलग पहचान बनाऊँगी।
जो शब्द कभी होंठों तक आ न सके,

मैं सिर्फ़ फूलों की ख़ुशबू नहीं लिखूँगी,
मैं पत्थरों में भी गुलाब उगाऊँगी।
मेरी ख़ामोशी को कमज़ोरी मत समझना,
वक़्त आने पर मैं अपना जवाब बन जाऊँगी।
अब किसी और के सपनों में नहीं जीना,
मैं अपनी आँखों से अपनी दुनिया बनाऊँगी।
